At Mugello, Marco Bezzecchi treasures Valentino Rossi’s advice, “I have goosebumps.”
Marco Bezzecchi satisfied
It was a goosebump Saturday for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team at its home GP in Mugello. In front of the Italian fans, Marco Bezzecchi, who also received advice from Valentino Rossi on the starting grid, was the protagonist of a beautiful duel for victory until the checkered flag. He crossed the finish line in second place and confirmed his second position in the championship with 102 points.
“I am really happy with today’s race,” said the Romagnolo, “I gave my best to stick to Pecco after a less than perfect qualifying. I’m satisfied with the pace, which is really impressive, and I think it will be a great race tomorrow. I tried, especially the last lap, but he was very strong in some sectors of the track and in the key points for overtaking. At the last corner he was uncatchable: all the more reason to go back to the data, study well and do our best tomorrow. Thanks to the crowd, when they sang the Italian anthem I got goosebumps and they deserve a great show for the GP.”
