Berlusconi’s death, Milan’s grief
AC Milan in a message expressed its condolences on the passing of Silvio Berlusconi. “AC Milan deeply saddened mourns the passing of the unforgettable Silvio Berlusconi and warmly embraces the family, collaborators and close friends. ‘Tomorrow we will dream of other goals, invent other challenges, seek other victories. May they be worth realizing what is good, strong, and true in us, in all of us who have had this adventure of intertwining our lives with a dream called Milan’. Thank you President, forever with Us.”
After messages from longtime collaborators Adriano Galliani, Arrigo Sacchi and Ariedo Braida, Fabio Capello’s also arrived: “Silvio Berlusconi was a genius. He had a vision for which he was years ahead. In so many fields he did incredible things, such as in soccer and in the business world, in other areas they persecuted him.”
“To him I owe my entire coaching career. After four years on the desk he called me to Milan. It surprised me but made me proud and we achieved extraordinary results,” the words to AdnKronos.
“A void that can never be filled, forever with us. Thank you for everything President,” wrote Adriano Galliani, while Arrigo Sacchi could not hold back tears to Ansa: “I’m hurting, despite everything I did not expect it. He is a brilliant friend to whom I owe everything. Silvio Berlusconi was a generous man, and he tried to change this difficult country, formed by individualists. Was he one too? No, he thought together and saw far: when he took me I told him “you are either crazy or a genius.” Given the results, you give me the answer….”
