Camila Giorgi starts with a win in Nottingham
Good start for Camila Giorgia in the Nottingham WTA tournament. The Macerata-based tennis player made her season debut on grass with a good win against Madison Brengle of the United States, bowing out in two sets with a score of 7-6, 6-2 after an hour and a half of play.
The Italian tennis player, dominant before the rain stop (she was leading the first set 5-1), suffered the American’s comeback but managed to close in the tie break 7-5. Despite batting problems Camila then led more easily in the second set, winning 6-2.
In the second round she will face another American, world number 110 Elizabeth Mandlik.
