Honda, Koji Watanabe looks optimistically at the continuation of the season

During an interview with the microphones of the Spanish newspaper “Marca,” Honda HRC president Koji Watanabe commented on the team’s competitiveness and the various market rumors that would see Marc Marquez leave the Japanese stable in favor of Ducati or KTM.

“The goal is to join Ducati. We don’t know how long it will take, but we have almost found out what the problem is. The next step is to figure out how to solve it, but it will take time to find the right solution. We hope to catch up with our rivals by the end of this season,” admitted the Honda president.

“We feel that Marc is part of the Honda family. Of course we respect the opinions of our riders. We have no fear that he might leave, but we will respect his decision. We would like him to end his career with us, but there is no rush to talk about his contract,” added Koji Watanabe regarding Marc Marquez’s possible farewell.
