Inter, Materazzi breaks silence and attacks those who insult him
Materazzi: “It would be nice if one day they would do the taunting without getting personal or insulting”
Marco Materazzi on Instagram broke his silence after the bitter defeat against Manchester city in the Champions League final. Also in Istanbul was the former Nerazzurri defender, who was framed several times by cameras during the match and in silence after the game.
“It would be hypocritical not to admit that it hurts. When there is passion and love for a jersey and you get so close to the goal, you hope for it as is normal. I was glad to meet so many friends once again and experience the emotions that a Champions League final gives you. I accept the taunts, they are a sign that I have never been indifferent to the fans, my own fans or even the opposing fans.”
On the blizzard that broke out on social media: “It would be nice if one day you did the taunting without getting personal or insulting. In my opinion if you put your minds to it you can do it. Not so much for me, but for you. Those “low level” comments say more about you than about me. More and more proud to be an INTERIST.”
