Dinamo Sassari: official farewell to Chris Dowe

Dinamo Sassari says goodbye to Chris Dowe. The Sardinian club said goodbye to the American basketball player after only one season, posting a lengthy farewell message on its social channels.

“We knew that a player cut from the German third tier and started from the European ‘minors’ had something special inside, something from the human point of view that would make a difference,” reads the message from the Biancoblù club.

“Already from your first interview in Oristano we knew we had met a Dynamo man.”

“You lit up our season with your talent and your will not to give up, it gave us great pain to see you out injured for over two months, like a lion in a cage. You were an example for how you recovered and how you turned your and our championship around.”

“Coach put you in the quintet in the most important game of the season at that time, you never came out, proving your full value. You dragged your teammates with a smile and determination, you strongly wanted playoff qualification and success in the series with Venice. You entered the hearts of the fans.”

“We knew it could happen, sport is made of emotions, feelings but also career and business, Sardinia is a unique place that binds you inextricably, but the market is a law that leaves no room only for the heart, you can never be an opponent, you will always be a friend because you gave everything for Dinamo.”
