Cagliari and Genoa compete in the market for a Roma midfielder

Cagliari and Genoa are preparing their big return to Serie A and are already active in the soccer market to do so. In particular, Sardinians and Ligurians are looking for a midfielder to reinforce the midfield. As reported by ‘Il Messaggero’ both clubs are reportedly targeting Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar, who has just returned from an unhappy second spell at Getafe.

However, the Grifone and the ‘Casteddu’ will have to reckon with the price of the Spaniard’s card, set at 4 million euros by the Giallorossi. However, after the purchases of Aouar and N’Dicka, the Capitoline club needs to sell, and quickly too, as it must collect 30 million in capital gains by June 30, in fulfillment of the principles of the settlement agreement.

In addition, the Iberian player’s desire to return to Serie A to redeem himself from the disappointing Spanish adventure should be considered.
