Fractured finger for Marc Marquez, no German GP
Marc Marquez’s nightmarish season continues. At the Sachsenring, where he has won the last 11 Grands Prix he has raced, Honda’s Spaniard will not be able to race the German Grand Prix because of a crash in this morning’s warm-up.
Marquez, in his fifth crash of this three-day event, suffered a small fracture in the thumb of his left hand and despite this injury but also problems with his elbow and right hand he had been given the green light to race, but it was he himself who announced that he would not be able to take to the track.
“After 4-5 crashes I don’t feel ready to race and do the race. I prefer to stay calm and not race, then in Holland we will see. I really don’t feel ready because I’ve taken so many hits with the crashes,” Marquez said less than an hour before the start of the race.
