Genoa looks to Brazil for defense
Genoa is already hard at work on the market front ahead of its return to Serie A after only one year in the cadet series. The Grifone is on the hunt for a reinforcement in the defensive department, particularly on the left flank.
According to reports from Sky Sport, sporting director Marco Ottolini has reportedly set his sights on Brazilian full-back Lucas Piton, who plays for Vasco Da Gama. The Ligurian club is not the only one interested in the class of 2000, who has also been put in the crosshairs by other clubs in the top division, including some big names. However, the Rossoblù have an advantage: the Brazilian club’s owner, 777 Partners, is the same as the Genoan club.
Lucas Piton finished the season with 2 goals and 1 assist in 22 appearances with the bianconeri.
