Marc Marquez in crisis, Jorge Lorenzo rages: ‘It’s not him’
Marc Marquez was forced to skip the Sachsenring Gp: “That bike is not up to his standards.”
Marc Marquez also remains in the tunnel at the Sachsenring: the Catalan rider, at what was his talismanic circuit, crashed five times in three days, the last one in Sunday morning’s warm-up that jeopardized his participation in the race.
Jorge Lorenzo to Dazn tried to defend his former teammate, harshly attacking Honda: “That bike is a disaster, it’s not up to it. It’s quite sad to see Marc at the end of the race in front of Fabio Di Giannantonio…. It’s a situation where it’s practically impossible to be calm. Physically he’s fine, but he’s not comfortable with the bike.”
Lorenzo sees a different Marquez, and much more nervous: “Last year there were changes in his environment and we see a different Marc, making firewood from a fallen tree is opportunistic, you can see he is nervous. His gestures on and off the track show it, but it is very difficult, almost impossible, to be calm having this bike that is not working and not competitive,” are the words reported by corsedimoto.
