George Weah’s words

George Weah gave a long interview to Gazzetta dello Sport, starting with Maldini’s farewell to AC Milan. “Paolo is a champion, I told him that he should not get down. His work at the club has been good, he has great ability and he will also be successful as a manager.”

“Inter were unlucky in the Champions League final, but I didn’t understand Lukaku on the bench. Now I follow my teams-Aletico Madrid and Juve. I have always been a Juventus fan because of Platini. I would have liked to play with Juve as well. Milan is my second family.”

He closed on his political career: “I proved that a former sportsman can accomplish projects even when he takes on another role. Do you know who has always believed in me? Silvio Berlusconi. He said I would be a great president for my country.”
