Gabbiadini and Villar in Cagliari’s crosshairs

Working to reinforce as much as possible the squad at Claudio Ranieri’s disposal for the upcoming Serie A season, Cagliari’s management is betting big on two names in particular: striker Manolo Gabbiadini and midfielder Gonzalo Villar. agency ‘Ansa’ reports.

Gabbiadini, considered a favorite of the Roman coach, is back from the sportingly disastrous season at Sampdoria, in which, however, he always stood out for quality and commitment from the individual point of view. Villar also played for Samp last season, his loan from Roma: a loan that ended in January, with his arrival at Getafe, also on loan.

Cagliari will play in the A league next year after a season in the cadetteria: promotion came after the playoffs, thanks to success in the double final against Bari (1-1 in the first leg in Sardinia, 1-0 at the San Nicola with Pavoletti’s decisive goal in full recovery).
