Filippo Ganna in Comano Terme, in the province of Trento, confirmed himself as Italian time trial champion by winning his fourth ttricolour title against the clock in five years and his second consecutive one.

The 26-year-old from Verbania, Italy, of Ineos-Grenadiers covered the planned 25.7 kilometers in 32’49” at an average of 47, 010 km/h, beating winner Mattia Cattaneo (Soudal Quick-Step) by 24″ and Matteo Sobrero (Jayco-AlUla) by 30″.

Fourth at 1’01” Simone Velasco (Astana Qazaqstan), by one second ahead of Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain-Victorious), underwhelming instead Edoardo Affini (Jumbo-Visma), seventh at 1’31” from Ganna.
