Genoa challenges Inter Milan for a Belgian striker
Not only Krzysztof Piatek is in Genoa’s sights. The Grifone have reportedly also set their eyes on Dodi Lukebakio, an external striker from Herta Berlin. According to reports in Il Secolo XIX, the Belgian centavanti was reported directly by sporting director Andres Blazquez.
However, the Ligurian club has to reckon with the rather high price tag (about 10 million euros) and the interest of other clubs, including Inter, which is strongly interested in the class of ’97.
In favor of the Rossoblù, however, play two key elements: the Belgian center forward’s contract expires in 2024, and Lukebakio’s recruitment is not sustainable for the German club, relegated to Serie B, and with absolute need to sell, given that it consists of a roster of as many as 39 players.
