MotoGP, Assen sprint race: the satisfaction of Marco Bezzecchi
Here are the statements to the microphones of Sky Sport by Marco Bezzecchi, triumphant with his Ducati of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team in the sprint race of the MotoGP class Dutch Grand Prix at the Assen circuit ahead of Pecco Bagnaia.
“At the first corner I wanted to pull a big braking move to not let Pecco pass because I thought I would let him get away. I made a mistake and Binder passed me as well. Then I told myself to take it easy, I knew I could do it. With Brad it was tough, he is really an animal. I tried to pay him back in the same coin by giving battle as much as I could.”
“It’s a track I like, but generally I like a little bit of all of them. I have to say that it suits my riding style well, because I am a little better on the fast corners than on the slower ones. Generally I felt good right away with the bike unlike Sachsenring which took a while. I still don’t really know what tire I will start with tomorrow. Pecco with the medium is a bit faster, but I will do my best and try to stick to him.”
