Carlos Alcaraz “threatens” Novak Djokovic
Carlos Alcaraz triumphs at Queen’s and confirms himself as one of the leading favorites to win Wimbledon, along with Novak Djokovic.
After the final won against Alex De Minaur, the Spaniard sent a message to the Serbian outfielder: “On grass I see myself with many weapons. I always try to sign big shots. I have improved my serve a lot. I try to always dominate with my forehand. Today my serve was a very useful weapon for me. I saved a lot of difficult moments because of my serve. It is something I have been working on in the last few months, and on grass it is more important than other strokes. I consider myself a good player on grass with all the weapons I have.”
On the match he won against De Minaur: “It was a very difficult day with a lot of wind. We have to adapt our game the best we can. The moment when I saved the break balls in the first set was difficult for me, but I knew I would have my chances. On that side you had more options because of the wind. I’m glad I saved that really difficult moment.”
