Davide Mazzanti doesn’t give up on the Finals
Italvolley vs. Brazil
All set for Italy’s return to the field in the Volleyball Nations League. Tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Italian time (live on Sky Sport Summer and Arena and streaming on NOW with commentary by Roberto Prini and Technical Commentary by Rachele Sangiuliano), the Azzurri will take on Brazil in the match valid for the second day of Pool 6 of VNL being played in Bangkok. After a week of intense training, CT Davide Mazzanti’s girls will try to launch the decisive assault on the top eight positions in the overall standings to detach the pass for the Finals scheduled in Arlington (USA) from July 13 to 17. Italy currently occupies the eighth position with 5 victories to its credit against the 3 defeats achieved so far.
“After Pool 1 in Turkey for us all matches can be decisive in view of the Finals,” Italy’s coach began, “now we have four important matches starting with the one with Brazil. We face a very tough team capable of developing a great volume of play that will certainly know how to put us in great difficulty. Here in Bangkok we did a lot of physical work alternating load and rest. We also worked on some aspects of ball change by fixing what was still wrong as well as in the break phase, especially in what made us suffer the most. In Thailand we found a warmth and affection around the team that was different than usual because in our previous experiences here in Bangkok I had never felt such attention towards us.”
