KTM team manager Francesco Guidotti to Sky tried to hush rumors about a possible signing of Marc Marquez as early as 2024 by the Austrian team: “Marquez is not one of our riders and as such is not a topic we deal with. We are focused on developing the bike, taking advantage of the skills and abilities of the riders we have. We have a nursery like no one else has and we fish from there for the future. Marquez has been proposed to us by journalists in a thousand ways and for us he is not a viable option.”

“We can’t talk about him either from a present or future perspective, he has a contract with Honda and we all need to be aware of that. 2025 is another matter for Marquez, as it will be then for all the other riders whose contracts will expire,” Guidotti concluded.
