NBA, Rob Pelinka unveils Los Angeles Lakers strategy
Los Angeles Lakers want to be able to fight for a ring
Eliminated during the last post season by the Denver Nuggets, then NBA Champions, the Los Angeles Lakers are working to put together a roster capable of competing for a ring next season.
“I think if there are ways we can improve our roster, obviously we will. I think we’re probably going to focus less on ‘Hey, what is Team X or Team Y doing?’ And, instead, we’re going to be focused more on ‘How can we improve?” the words of Pelinka, GM of the California franchise.
Many names are circulating, including that of VanVleet. The veteran guard did not exercise his $22.8 million player option to stay in Toronto and would be one of the Los Angeles Lakers GM’s targets to improve the guard department. Whether there will be a trade attempt or not remains to be seen. Developments are expected over the next few days.
