The words of Alex Lowes

Just before the turn of the 2023 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship season, another piece in the mosaic of the 2024 lineup arrives. Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) will remain in KRT, thanks to a contract extension. This completes the Japanese team’s pair of riders for next season since Jonathan Rea signed a two-year deal in the middle of last year. You can read all the news related to the 2024 lineup here.

Lowes will be in his fifth season with Kawasaki, a House with which he won on his debut in 2020 in Australia beating everyone in Race 2. Since then he has collected 14 podiums and eight front rows fighting consistently for the top five positions in the Championship. This season he gave Kawasaki its first podium in the dry thanks to a third-place finish in the Superpole Race at Mandalika. Lowes is currently ninth in the standings with 75 points.

Lowes is happy to stay another year with Kawasaki and expresses gratitude, “I am super happy to continue my relationship with Kawasaki for the 2024 WorldSBK season. My motivation is to achieve the best possible results riding the ZX-10RR.”

“Now the number goal is to focus on the rest of this season, starting with my scheduled home race weekend at Donington Park. Really nice to have confirmation that I will continue racing with Kawasaki and that this confirmation came in time for my Home Round. I will enjoy it even more. A big thank you goes out to KMC, KME and all the staff at KRT for the great support in the past and for continuing to believe in me. I look forward to continuing to work with them in the coming season.”
