WTA Bad Homburg, Lucia Bronzetti in semifinals

Lucia Bronzetti qualified for the semifinals of the WTA on the German grass in Bad Homburg. The 24-year-old Rimini native beat with a score of 6-4 6-3 in an hour and a quarter of play Varvara Gracheva, a Russian who from this tournament defends the colors of France.

Lucia not only never lost her serve but also did not concede a single break point to her opponent, snatching the serve from her in the fifth game of the first set and then in the third and ninth games of the second partial, closing on the fourth match point.

Now in the semifinals the Romagnola will face the world number 1, Poland’s Iga Swiatek, who got rid of Russia’s Anna Blinkova with a clear 6-3 6-2.
