WTA Bad Homburg, Lucia Bronzetti surrenders in final to Katerina Siniakova
WTA Bad Homburg, Lucia Bronzetti knocked out in the final
Lucia Bronzetti came to a halt at the most beautiful moment in the WTA 250 tournament in Bad Homburg. The Rimini-based tennis player, in fact, was defeated in two sets by the Czech Katerina Siniakova with a score of 6-2 7-6, thus seeing the dream of winning her second career title fade just a step away. For the Hradec Králové native, however, it was the fourth success.
After a first set dominated by the world number 52, the Italian tennis player managed to hold her opponent in the second set, managing to come back from 2-5 down and forcing a Tie-Break, in which the 1998-born player had to surrender with a score of 7-5.
The term WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) refers to that association that brings together all female professional tennis players from all corners of the world. The WTA, like the ATP, has as its main objective the organization and management of all WTA events, as well as the ranking, called the WTA ranking.
