Sbk Donington, Danilo Petrucci celebrates first podium finish
Danilo Petrucci, first podium in Sbk
The Uk Round of the World Superbike World Championship, at the Donington Park circuit, ends with a great satisfaction for Danilo Petrucci: the rider from Terni has in fact conquered his first podium in the most important class dedicated to the series derivatives, finishing third behind Alvaro Bautista (winner in race-1 and at his sixteenth success in 18 races between GP and Superpole Race) and Toprak Razgatlioglu, who after the victory in the SP Race brought his Yamaha to the second place in race-2.
For Petrucci the podium was the icing on the cake of a decidedly positive weekend, characterized by fourth place in race-1 and fifth in the Superpole Race: before yesterday his best result in Sbk was just a fifth place, in race-1 at Mandalika.
In the world standings, on the other hand, Alvaro Bautista is the absolute ruler: the Spanish Ducati veteran has collected 357 points, 93 more than Razgatlioglu (264). Petrucci is eighth, with 98 points under his belt.
