Tour de France, Jasper Philipsen wins first sprint
Jasper Philipsen won the third stage of the Tour de France 2023: the Alpecin Deceuninck rider won the first sprint of the Grande Boucle at the end of the 187.4-kilometer stage from Amorebieta-Etxano to Bayonne.
The Belgian cyclist, launched excellently by teammate Mathieu van der Poel, was ahead of Phil Baunhaus and Caleb Ewan.
No change in the general classification at the end of a quiet stage for the big boys, with the Mountain GPs all concentrated in the first part of the stage-Adam Yates was confirmed in the yellow jersey.
