Former Brindisi will go to Turkey
Darius Thompson will not be a player of Olimpia Milano, although rumors of his transfer to the Red Shoes were quite persistent. According to sources quoted by ‘Sportando,’ in fact, the former Brindisi will go to settle at Anadolu Efes, a Turkish club that won the Euroleague in 2021 and 2022.
Thompson, a U.S. citizen with Italian citizenship (acquired after marriage), played last season for Saski Baskonia. in the Italian league, instead, he played two seasons, at Happy Casa Brindisi: 2019/20, unfinished due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and 2020/21, ended instead with the second place in the regular season and elimination in the playoff semifinals.
