Ferrari flies to Silverstone with every intention of putting the strategy discussion (and the frustration publicly expressed by Carlos Sainz) behind them and instead restart from the good things shown in terms of performance over the Austrian weekend.

Also confirming the newfound optimism in the Ferrari household was the team principal, Frederic Vasseur, who first wanted to close the case related to the team orders: “I think the plan was very good: we got the best result of the season – are the words reported by ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ -. Of course, when you are behind with Drs, you think you are faster, but Carlos knew the strategy from the beginning. I think he wanted to put us under pressure.”

The message to Charles Leclerc and the Spaniard, then, is clear: “For the team’s strategy, we don’t care who between the two is in front. Now we continue on this path, we are in the right direction.”
