Ferrari, Charles Leclerc curbs enthusiasm
“Since Barcelona, the feeling is going in the right direction. There are steps forward, but we must not get carried away by enthusiasm.” Charles Leclerc is also preaching caution ahead of next Sunday’s British Grand Prix after Silverstone after finishing second with his Ferrari in Austria.
“We were not able to find the feeling in Montmeló, but in Austria the pace was much better than at the beginning of the season and we had very good feelings,” added the Monegasque from the Maranello factory in a press conference. “Red Bull is far ahead and is stronger. I think this track can highlight our weaknesses, it is likely that we can suffer more than in Austria, but as a pace I think we have taken a step forward.”
Leclerc is currently sixth in the drivers’ standings and this year, in addition to his second place at the Red Bull Ring four days ago, he has finished on the podium once more, in Azerbaijan, after starting from pole position.
