Milan, there is a new sporting director
FIGC regulations require each club to have a sports director on its organizational chart, and AC Milan formalized Antonio D’Ottavio in this role today after Paolo Maldini’s forced farewell.
Born in 1982, D’Ottavio joined the Rossoneri in 2017 after scouting experiences with Torino, Sunderland and Inter. A trusted man of Geoffrey Moncada (who has renewed), he will work in the team in coordination with the Rossoneri’s chief scouting officer.
This opens a new era for Milan after the farewells of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara. The Rossoneri must redeem a season far below expectations that was the result of some decidedly bad signings.
