Official: Daniel Ricciardo will take Nick De Vries’ place in Alpha Tauri

The driver grid for the 2023 F1 season changes. Red Bull, in fact, has made official the loan move of Daniel Ricciardo to Alpha Tauri in place of Nick De Vries with immediate effect. The Dutch driver born in 1995 is paying for the zero points scored in the first ten races of the world championship.

“I am very pleased to welcome Daniel back to the team. There is no doubt about his driving skills and he already knows many of us, so his integration will be easy and immediate. The team will also benefit greatly from his experience, as he is an eight-time F1 Grand Prix winner. I would like to thank Nick for his contribution during his time with Scuderia Alpha Tauri and wish him the best for the future,” these were the words of Alpha Tauri team principal Franz Tost.

The Australian driver will make his return to the track as early as the Hungarian GP scheduled for July 23, 2023, and will remain there at least until the end of the season.
