Milan, a club from across the Channel swoops in on Charles De Ketelaere
Milan, Aston Villa make a move for Charles De Ketelaere
AC Milan, after finalizing the purchase of Christian Pulisic, is reportedly also working on the exit front to try to place those players out of coach Stefano Pioli’s technical project, so as to create a treasury that can be reinvested in the entrance to complete the squad for next season.
According to reports from “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” Aston Villa has reportedly put a bid of 25 million euros on the table for Charles De Ketelaere, who, after a first season decidedly below expectations could leave the Rossoneri. However, the Milanese club, in order to avoid a capital loss, would be willing to sell the Belgian trequartista for a figure around 30 million euros.
There should be new contacts between the parties in the coming days, and should the English club raise its proposal, Milan would not oppose the departure of the 2001-class player.
On the exit front, the Rossoneri would be working to place other players, such as Divock Origi, Ante Rebic and Fode Ballo-Touré. While for the first two no convincing offers would have arrived yet, for the third one Bologna would have come forward, which would have identified the Senegalese as the main candidate to replace Andrea Cambiaso.
Inbound, on the other hand, the Milanese club would be working to define the arrival of Reijnders from Az Alkmaar. After that, the priority will be turned to the purchase of a striker who can alternate with Olivier Giroud.
