Milan, two suitors for Charles De Ketelaere
Milan, two suitors for Charles De Ketelaere
Charles De Ketelaere’s possible farewell to AC Milan could take off, according to Sportmediaset reports, from the 6 million that PSG paid PSV to secure Xavi Simons. But then what does CDK have to do with it? The 22-year-old Belgian has something to do with it because the Eindhoven club could soon make a bid to bring him home and replace the 20-year-old Dutchman.
De Ketelaere will return to Milanello in a few days to take part in the training camp, but he no longer fits into the plans of Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli after an incredibly disappointing year and the club is increasingly leaning toward selling him. The problem is that Milan bought him a year ago for the sum of 35 million and is certainly not willing to make capital losses, so the demand is at least 30 million immediately plus 30 percent on the future resale of the Belgian.
So with these figures, which clubs would be interested in the midfielder from Bruges? Surely PSV must offer much more than the 6 million it received for Xavi Simons. More money most likely has Aston Villa: the Birmingham club has picked up Pau Torres and Tielemans, and its market shots do not seem to be finished.
Then there is to convince De Ketelaere: he wants to stay at Milan and wants to redeem himself after a horrible year. But the purpose is arduous: already as it is he is far from being one of Pioli’s first choices, if then more incoming shots were to come in addition to those already arrived he would be put even more on the sidelines. In that case then yes he might be convinced to leave the Rossoneri side of the Navigli, where in one year between all competitions he has totaled 40 appearances and not a single goal.
