Jeremy Menez has landed in Bari

Jeremy Menez is ready to begin his new adventure at Bari: the French striker, after three seasons at Reggina, will in fact move to the Apulian club and on Tuesday landed at Bari-Palese airport to await medical examinations and contract signing.

“I am happy, I am very pleased to be here,” said the former, among others, of Milan and Roma. “Now I have to think about the medical visits, tomorrow I will join my new teammates. A hug to all the fans, I can’t wait to start.”

Menez, born in 1987, will thus play his fourth consecutive season in Serie B. A precocious talent, he made his professional debut in 2003, wearing the ‘B’ team jersey of Sochaux. With the yellow-blue club he also played in the first team, before experiences with Monaco, Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Milan, Bordeaux, Antalyaspor (Turkey), Club America (Mexico), Paris FC and Reggina.

He will be one of the recall names of Bari 2023/24: the Apulian club, after the bitter outcome of the playoffs for promotion to Serie A (faded to the advantage of Cagliari in the very last moments of the final return match, as a result of Pavoletti’s goal in mid-recovery), is returning to the starting lineup with the clear goal of returning to the top flight for the first time since the 2010/11 season.

The next Serie B championship will start on the weekend of August 19 and 20: Bari will begin its adventure in a real big match against Palermo, at the ‘San Nicola’.
