It is now official: Tommaso Augello is a new Cagliari player.

Born in Milan, class of 1994, his career in professional soccer began in the summer of 2014 among the ranks of Giana Erminio: here in three seasons he totaled 119 matches, with 1 goal and 10 assists. His growth continues in Spezia: in B he plays 49 matches, among the most interesting prospects in the category. Thus comes the call of A: he stays in Liguria, but moves to Genoa, Samp side. He makes his debut in the top division on November 4, 2019, in the 1-0 win against Spal, with coach Ranieri on the bench. On Oct. 17, 2020, in the home match against Lazio, he stars with a goal – his first in the Blucerchiata shirt – and an assist, decisive for the 3-0 final. He leaves Sampdoria after making 134 matches, with 4 goals and 13 assists.

A left full-back, tactically disciplined, thanks to his excellent running ability and technical qualities he can be employed at full-back: good defensive readings, he loves to propose himself also in the pushing phase, where by jumping the man he can serve inviting crosses to his teammates. Going forward he can also make himself particularly insidious on set pieces.
