Tour de France: Gall triumphs in Courchevel, Vingegaard remains in yellow

Austrian rider Felix Gall won the 17th stage of the Tour de France, considered by many to be the queen stage of the Grande Boucle, with 5,400 meters of elevation gain, starting in Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc and ending in Courchevel.

The AG2R Citroen Team rider crossed the finish line 34 seconds ahead of Britain’s Simon Yates and 1’38” behind Spaniard Pello Bilbao.

As for the general classification, Jonas Vingegaard remains in the lead, taking advantage of Tadej Pogacar’s collapse at Col de la Loze and distancing him by 7’35”, putting his hands on the Tour.
