F1, Daniel Ricciardo is sincere about returning to the track

At the press conference to present the Hungarian GP, newly appointed Alpha Tauri driver Daniel Ricciardo spoke about his return to F1. “It’s good to be back, but at the same time it’s a strange feeling, after all I haven’t been that far away. I didn’t think I could come back so soon. I was always ready, they told me you never know. I’ve been enjoying these months with the Red Bull family and I’ve also been able to take a break. I expected a full year off, but it was enough to regain my energy,” the Australian driver began.

“It’s nice not to have to fly frequently. I did a lot of things, but now I’m happy to be here. Getting back in the car was good, I got my rhythm back right away and it was nice even though the challenges this weekend will be different. Now my only goal is to drive,” added the former McLaren driver.

“The return to Faenza is very nice, the team structurally has changed from when I was there 10 years ago. And I’m a different person too, I’ve changed my perspective on things and I face this experience without any preconceived notions. I’m just happy to have a new opportunity in Red Bull. And that’s all I’m thinking about, although there is a lot of work to do,” concluded Daniel Ricciardo.
