Inter, Thuram has chosen his jersey number

Inter has made official the jersey number of Marcus Thuram, a French striker born in 1997 and purchased on a zero-parameter basis from Borussia Monchengladbach. The Nerazzurri’s new acquisition will wear the number 9 jersey.

After the farewell of Edin Dzeko, who wore number 9 for the last two seasons in the Nerazzurri and has now moved to Turkish side Fenerbahce, and the negotiations to get Romelu Lukaku faded, the Frenchman will be Inter’s new number nine.

“Number 9 for the Panther,” reads the video posted on Instagram by Inter, which depicts the 25-year-old striker wearing the new jersey.

A mega-rescission clause of 95 million euros was included in Thuram’s contract, which is linked to the Nerazzurri until 2028, to armor the French center forward.
