Another forfeit for Camila Giorgi. The Marche-based tennis player, in fact, withdrew at the last minute from the Warsaw WTA 250. The Italian, seeded number 6 seed, was supposed to make her debut today on the Central Court of Legia Tenis #38; Golf against German Tatjana Maria, number 65 in the WTA rankings, but she had to forfeit due to a wrist problem.
Giorgi will be replaced on the scoreboard by a qualifier or lukcy loser. That leaves only Lucrezia Stefanini among the Azzurre on the draw, who will have to contend with young Czech hopeful Linda Fruhvirtova, No. 55 in the ranking and seventh seeded favorite.
This is the second consecutive forfeit for the Marche player. In the previous week, in fact, Giorgi had also had to raise the white flag in the WTA 250 in Budapest.
