Torino: in the crosshairs of Carlitos Tevez’s pupil
Torino has reportedly set its sights on Alejo Veliz, a 2003-class forward from Club Atlético Rosario Central. According to rumors coming out of Argetina, the Granata have submitted a €6 million bid, plus bonuses linked to the achievement of seasonal goals.
However, the proposal was rejected at sender by the Argentine club. Veliz has also been approached in recent weeks by two other Serie A clubs, Salernitana and Sassuolo.
A long-limbed central striker, good in the backs and adept at holding up the team, he scored nine goals in 21 appearances in the Argentine Superliga. Veliz also participated in the Under-20 World Cup in an Albiceleste jersey.
Last season he was also coached by Carlitos Tevez, a great former Juventus and Manchester United player, by whom he was greatly influenced: “I am really happy to have Tévez as a coach, he played in the best teams in the best leagues. I treasure every advice he gives me.”
