Fencing World Cup, a Ukrainian fails to show up against a Russian
Ukrainian Igor Reizlin did not show up on the piste in the men’s epee challenge at the Fencing World Championships in Milan. As per instructions from the Ukrainian Federation due to Moscow’s war against Kiev, Reizlin did not take part in the assault against Russia’s Vadim Anokhin, who thus advances to the next round, where he will find the winner of the face-off between Switzerland’s Max Heinzer and Australia’s Lachlan Crook. In his previous path before the 64-round draw, Russian Anokhin had beaten Serbia’s Jovan Jovanovic 15-6 and Czech Michal Cupr 15-3.
Meanwhile, advancing en masse are the blue women in foil at the ongoing fencing world championships in Milan. It was all easy for Arianna Errigo against Canada’s Yunjia Zhang: the Brianzola won 15-6 and proceeded into the 64 draw. In the next round she will face Daphne Nok Sze Chan, a bearer from Hong Kong.
In the poker of positive results for the Italian women’s foil, 15-6 also for Martina Favaretto against Savroula Garufallou and next round with Britain’s Carolina Stuchbury. Alice Volpi won 15-12 against Korea’s Sena Hong, 13-9 instead for Martina Batin over Hong Kong’s Valerie Hiu Wai Cheng.

For him, after the victory over South African Losevsky, scheduled to cross in the next round with Poland’s Antkiewic.
