Luis Alberto and Lazio: after the case, the company intervenes

After the threat of farewell, the case seems to have receded.

Luis Alberto at Lazio should no longer represent a case. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, relations between the talented Spaniard and the biancocelesti seemed to have broken down irretrievably, but a blitz by the club would resolve the situation. At least for the time being.

According to what has been gathered by ‘SportMediaset’, in fact, just Wednesday would have come the long-awaited agreement to extend Luis Alberto’s contract and especially tweak his salary. Lazio would in fact have offered its player 4 million euros for the next four seasons, just when the person concerned had seemed very close to ending relations with the club.

All too clear in this regard had been a message posted on Instagram Stories by Luis Alberto. “There is a limit beyond which patience ceases to be a virtue,” he had in fact written on Tuesday, complete with an emblematic emoji of a little hand waving goodbye. And that’s not all: on Wednesday morning, in fact, the player had not shown up for the group training session led by Maurizio Sarri at the Auronzo di Cadore retreat.

It should also be recalled that in June news had spread of a maxi bid for Luis Alberto directly from Qatar. In fact, Al-Duhail had offered 12 million euros plus 3 in bonuses to the biancoceleste club and an 8 million euros per season contract for the Iberian player. However, this was a lower figure than the one requested by President Lotito (20 million, ed.).

Precisely for this reason, there had been talk of an interest of Luis Alberto’s entourage to concretize the transfer or, alternatively, the fateful contract renewal with a salary increase.
