Inter-Al-Nassr 1-1

The first Japan Tour match for Inter ended in a draw. The Nerazzurri were unable to get beyond a 1-1 draw against Al-Nassr of Cristiano Ronaldo and former of the match Marcelo Brozovic, despite numerous goal chances created.

In the first 20 minutes of the match the best actions were created by the Saudi club with goalkeeper Filip Stankovic being called upon to make two important interventions first on Ronaldo and then on Talisca. In the 23rd minute came the Arabs’ lead with Ghareeb finalizing an excellent invention by Anderson Talisca. After the goal conceded, the Nerazzurri managed to find rhythm by immediately creating three threats with Lautaro, Correa and Dumfries. In the final minutes of the first half, however, came the equalizer for Simone Inzaghi’s team, thanks to newly acquired Davide Frattesi’s header that slotted into the low corner.

In the second half, thanks to the many changes made, the technical gap between the roses became much more delineated with the Milanese club continuing to control the game. The most important chance came in the 66th minute with Lautaro Martinez shooting wide from a close position.

Inter’s next engagement will be against former Milan man Skriniar’s PSG on Aug. 1.
