Charlie Moore wears red and white
Charlie Moore arrives in the big leagues
Charlie Moore will play in Serie A next season: the American point guard has in fact reached an agreement with Estra Pistoia, a newly promoted club in the top division. He will be the fifth (and last) foreigner on the team at Nicola Brienza’s disposal.
Born in Chicago on Feb. 3, 1998, 1.80m for 82kg, Moore is preparing to play his second season in Europe, despite his young age, after having impressed well between the BNXT League (which brings together the realities of Belgium and the Netherlands) and Serbia, where he defended the colors of Fmp Belgrade both in the national championship and in the prestigious Adriatic League.
“He is a player we already liked at the beginning of the market,” explained coach Nicola Brienza to the official channels of the Tuscan club, “but at that moment there were still no conditions to carry out the negotiation so much so that we had given him for vanished. Then, in a few days, the right conditions were recreated and so we launched ourselves on Charlie. He has great talent, remarkable qualities in one-on-one and is an excellent passer: characteristics that make him fit well with what are the peculiarities we have already seen for the other members of the team.”
“I am convinced,” added the red and white coach, “that he will be able to give us unpredictability and great ability to beat the direct opponent. I must say that we are very happy with the work done in the market and now the team is ready: all we have to do is wait until mid-August to get to know all the guys, put them together to start working and prepare for the A Series season.”
Instead, these are Moore’s first words as a Pistoia player: “I am really excited to embark on this new adventure and become part of the Pistoia Basket family. I already feel ready to take the court and help the team to the best of my ability to be able to get the most success: only with a lot of work, and all together, we can reach our maximum potential. See you soon in Pistoia.”
