Juventus, the decision

Uefa’s decision regarding Juventus has arrived.

“During the 2022/23 season,” a note reads, “the First Chamber of the CFCB, chaired by Sunil Gulati, opened investigations into Juventus (ITA) and Chelsea FC (ING) for potential violations of UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations. The First Chamber of the CFCB concluded that Juventus (ITA) violated UEFA’s regulatory framework and breached the settlement agreement signed in August 2022. As a result, the First Chamber of the CFCB terminated the settlement agreement concluded with the club and decided to:
– exclude Juventus from the 2023/24 UEFA men’s club competition;
– impose an additional financial contribution of 20 million euros on the club. Of this amount, 10 million euros is conditional and will be applied only if the club’s annual budgets for the financial years 2023, 2024 and 2025 do not comply with the accounting requirements defined in Annex G of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations.”

In place of the Bianconeri repechaged Fiorentina, a finalist in the last edition.
