Replacement for injured Abraham needed

At the moment, the starting forward is still missing. Abraham’s injury has forced the Giallorossi club to make a running change in its plans for the 2023/24 season. A spearhead is needed to take the English striker’s place, and it is needed quickly so as not to put Mourinho in a decidedly uncomfortable situation.

The assault on Morata continues but negotiations with Atletico Madrid are complicated. The Spaniard, seen in the Juventus jersey, would be happy to return to Serie A. The problem, besides the monster salary, remains the price tag that Atletico Madrid makes (no less than 20 million euros), which is too high for the Giallorossi’s coffers.

Tiago Pinto would still have alternatives. Scamacca remains a viable option, although Inter currently seems to be in pole position to bring home the Azzurri striker. According to Il Messaggero, the other names on the Giallorossi manager’s list would be those of Nzola, Daka, and Sanchez, the latter of whom was released after his experience at O.Marseille. The 34-year-old Chilean striker, seen in Italy with the shirts of Udinese and Inter, would bring a lot of international experience, although Roma seems willing to focus on a player with different physical characteristics, more like a physical first forward. The clock is ticking and Mourinho is eager to have the forward available to flank Dybala. For Roma, the time has come for the decisive lunge.
