Genoa unleashed: a Juventus defender on the way

Last hectic days at Genoa. After the strike in attack Mateo Retegui and the one in midfield, signed Morten Thorsby, the Rossoblù don’t want to know about stopping. The Grifone, in fact, is looking for a reinforcement in the defensive department. In particular, the Ligurian club has its sights set on Juventus’ young defender Koni De Winter, who played last season on loan at Empoli.

As reported by Sky Sport, the Belgian defender is on his way out of the Bianconeri club, which would like to sell him outright to make cash. On the other hand, however, the Rossoblù club is pushing for a loan formula with the possibility of including a buy-back obligation in case he stays in Serie A.

However, Genoa is not the only one interested in the class of 2002. In fact, there is also the interest of Frosinone on him. However, the Grifone seems to be ahead in the negotiations and in the coming hours there should be a new meeting between the two parties to finalize the deal.

From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit the contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season.
