The words of Tony Arbolino

Tony Arbolino took stock of the situation on QN before the Moto2 resumption: “We are in a good phase, scoring a lot of points in races where we were not strong last year was positive. In the second part of the season there will be races where I am sure we will do well. I am confident, I have an incredible team.”

“For 2024 I still don’t know 100 percent where I will be. I certainly know that I want to be in MotoGP. I hope something can be done, but right now I’m focused on this season. I still think a place in MotoGP I can deserve.”

“Right now my dream is to be world champion (in Moto2, ed.). Acosta is one of the fastest riders along with me and I think he is the only one who can challenge me in the title race. I see him as the main opponent, but what we have done so far has not been a fluke: the World Championship should have already taken a definite direction.”

A few days before the championship resumes at Silverstone, Pecco Bagnaia also spoke about his feelings ahead of the English weekend.

“It was a good summer break. I was able to rest, but also dedicate myself to my training program and I had a lot of fun on the track, on several occasions, with the Panigale V4S together with the other Ducati riders. Now it is time to start again and I am happy about that. Last year in Silverstone I got one of the best wins of my career in a weekend that did not start in the best way. The goal this year will be to start off on the right foot right away, and above all, try to bring home more important points in view of the championship,” the reigning champion told Ducati’s official channel.

In addition to Bagnaia, teammate Enea Bastianini also spoke ahead of the Silverstone GP: “I am happy to be back on track. During these weeks I rested, but I also worked a lot to try to be ready for this second part of the season. Silverstone is one of my favorite tracks, so the goal will definitely be to be able to get a good result and especially to be able to compete for the podium again. I know it won’t be easy and in England the weather will be an unpredictable factor, but we will try to give it our all.”
