Surprise strike for Genoa. Having disposed of Cesare Casadei, who will go to Leicester, the Grifone has turned to Junior Messias, a Brazilian offensive outfielder coming out of AC Milan, following the arrivals of Pulisic and Chukwueze.

According to reports from Sky Sport, the Rossoblù club is very close to acquiring the striker from the Rossoneri, who as early as Friday will undergo medical examinations with the Ligurian club. Negotiations are well underway, lacking only a few details regarding the formula, which should be that of an onerous loan, set at one million euros, with a mandatory redemption at three million, for a total of four million euros.

Followed by Torino and Besiktas, Messias will move to Genoa, which has won the competition, thus giving an important alternative to coach Gilardino in the offensive department.

In his last season with the Diavolo Messias collected 36 appearances among all competitions, scoring six goals and two assists. In the Rossoneri he also won a Scudetto, in 2021.
