Coppa Italia, Genoa and Bologna ahead
Genoa and Bologna qualified
Friday’s Coppa Italia ended with Genoa and Bologna passing the round, victorious against Modena (4-3) and Cesena (2-0), respectively.
At Marassi, great protagonist Retegui scored after just 32 seconds and in the 57th minute. Also in goal were Vasquez and Gudmundsson for the Grifone, useless goals by Manconi, Tremolada and Gargiulo for the canarini: the next opponent will be one between Monza and Reggiana.
Corazza and Zirkzee, on the other hand, signed the 2-0 win against Cesena for the Felsinei, who will now face either Verona or Ascoli.
Frosinone’s 1-0 win over Pisa and Udinese’s 4-1 victory over Catanzaro ended today’s first two challenges for access to the Coppa Italia round of 16.
At the Benito Stirpe stadium, Eusebio Di Francesco’s Ciociari won thanks to an own goal by the Tuscan Nerazzurri after only 7 minutes of play: Borrelli from the left side put in a cross and Canestrelli awkwardly deflected it into his own goal.
Much more comfortable success for the Friulians at the Dacia Arena: Lovric took the lead in the 9th minute but the Calabrians equalized with Vandeputtem only to collapse in the second half under the blows of Beto in the 49th minute, Thauvin in the 64th minute and Lucca in the 93rd minute.
