Haruki Noguchi didn’t make it.
The motorcycling world mourns the passing of Haruki Noguchi, who died at the age of just 22 from the consequences of a serious accident last Sunday in Indonesia during an Asia Road Championship race. The news was confirmed by FIM-Asia, through a note posted on its official channels.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Haruki Noguchi after three days of intensive care at the Nusa Tenggara Barat Public Hospital,” the statement read. “During Round 4 of the FIM Asia Road Championship 2023 held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Haruki was seriously injured as a result of an accident at Turn 10, Lap 4 of the Asia Superbike 1000cc race category.
“The 22-year-old rider immediately received medical treatment at the circuit’s Medical Center before being transferred to the local hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Haruki unfortunately died from his injuries. The president of FIM Asia and its board of directors, Two Wheels Motor Racing and the FIM Asia Road Racing family extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Haruki Noguchi.”
