Vuelta a Burgos, third stage and leader’s jersey to Primoz Roglic
Double shot for Primoz Roglic: the Slovenian winner of the last Giro d’Italia won the third stage of the 183-kilometer-long Vuelta a Burgos, from Sargentes de la Lora to Villarcayo.
He sprinted ahead of three of his breakaway companions, Russian Aleksandr Vlasov, second, Briton Adam Yates, third, and Australian Damien Howson, fourth.
In fifth place, detached by 1’07”, was Spaniard Javier Romo. Roglic also took the overall lead, 34″ ahead of Vlasov and 40″ ahead of A. Yates.
